Akhari leads KWAP’s Venture and Growth investment efforts. Since 2016, KWAP as Malaysia’s largest public services pension fund, has made Venture and Growth investments globally through funds investment and also direct investments. Today, through its investments, KWAP has indirect and direct exposures to 6 Unicorns.
Prior to KWAP, Akhari managed his own business development consultancy in the Emerging Markets, with a focus on Myanmar. Earlier, he was a corporate finance professional with one of Malaysia’s largest listed conglomerate.
Akhari holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh.
